Culture Keepers- THE MOUNTAINTOP!

Culture Keepers at G. James Gholson Middle School took a trip to Arena Stage to see "Mountaintop", a fictional portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King's last night before his assassination.  It was such a moving experience.  It was a perfect day for a field trip, the weather was fantastic, and Arena Stage is such a beautiful theatre!  Why did PGAAMCC take our students to see "Mountaintop"?  Our Culture Keepers at Gholson Middle School, are writing and producing a play of their own about Prince George's Historically Black Incorperated Townships, called "A Space of Their Own".  It was important for our students to see what a great professional production looked like and how theatre can really move an audience.
