In December Culture Keepers learned about the 7 principles of Kwanzaa and how to apply these African principles to their community and daily lives. They also learned about PGAAMCC's upcoming exhibit "A Space of Their Own", a celebration of Prince George's Historic Black Townships. Students learned how early residents of these townships encompassed these principles in order to build strong communities.
